Ali V.(she/her) is the co-founder and the lead of Out and About.  She grew up in Dolores and only after leaving for college, did she learn about the LGBTQIA+ community. Coming from being part of non-profits for over a decade she felt confident that her skills could be put to good use! After hearing about some of the LGBTQIA+ people in Montezuma County lacking access to resources or community Ali decided to co-found Out and About!

Annie D. (she/her) completed her Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University in Bend, Oregon with a specialty in Latin American and women’s issues in 2012. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist and is nationally certified. She's practiced outreach and mental health services internationally in Chile and Argentina and in the US in Colorado and Oregon. Since February 2015 she has lived in Cortez, Colorado working as a child, adolescent and family therapist and obtained her license in 2017. In 2020 she became a Registered Play Therapist. She has specialized training in trauma, attachment and play therapy. She is bilingual in English and in Spanish. If you ask Annie what she loves about her job she says, "The kids!!" When she's not working Annie loves to spend time with her human baby and her five fur babies!
